Arlington is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the Potomac River’s west bank directly across from Washington, D.C. Known for walkable urban villages like Crystal City, Rosslyn, and Ballston, Arlington was part of the “10 miles square.” Arlington’s name is synonymous in many people’s minds with Arlington National Cemetery, the most famous national cemetery in the United States.
