Terms and Conditions of Service Provided By G&C Moving Services!

INSURANCE
We are responsible for our own negligence; we assume no responsibilty for any loss or damage caused by an act of God, an act of public enemy, or any and all other causes beyond our control. Our responsibility is further limited to the minimum Released Value Insurance requirement in Virginia of $0.60 per pound, no more than $50 per article, with a $250 deductible. We offer no additional insurance to be purchased. In the event of a truck breakdown, accident, or traffic we hold no responsibility for any loss of wages, fines, hotel rental, car rental, or any other related expense.
PERISHABLES
Live animals, eggs, fish, plants, flowers, or other property of perishable nature will not be covered.
PACKING
All personal items must be fully packed in boxes, totes, or bags before the arrival of the moving crew. We hold no responsiblity for the contents of open drawers or open containers.
ELECTRONICS
We are not responsible for the mechanical functions of radios, phonographs, clocks, appliances, or any other electrical device.
FRAGILE ITEMS
All items including but not limited to glass, mirror, marble, paintings, and other similar articles should be properly packed/created by the customer and we will assume no responsibility for damages.
PROPERTY
We will be providing moving pads and shrink wrap to protect all the furniture and we will be using extreme caution while moving oversized items through restricted areas; however, all floors, walls, banisters, ceilings, doors, or hallways must be protected by the customer prior to our arrival and we will assume no responsibility for damage to any home, office, or other property.
RESERVATIONS
All reservations are taken over the telephone. A credit/debit card number is required in order to hold your date and time. If you cancel the job for any reason a cancellation fee equal to one hour of labor will be charged to the card. You may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty.
PAYMENT
Before the job begins, we require a cash advance equal to 2 hours of labor plus the one time service fee. This is the minimum charge for all jobs that take 2 hours or less. Anything beyond 2 hours should also be paid in cash upon completion, or a credit/debit may be used with an addtional 10% surcharge added to the balance. We pro rate by the half hour. Lunch breaks are off the clock. ABSOLUTELY NO CHECKS.
